Hello, I’m Joe Lee, the heart and soul behind Puggeroomie®
My journey with pugs began with a love so big, it changed my life. These little souls bring so much joy, laughter and unconditional love and I believe they deserve to be treated like family, always.
That’s why I created Puggeroomie® a warm, loving home from home where your pugs and small dog breeds become part of our family too.
When your dogs stay with us, they’re not just looked after they’re loved, cuddled and cherished like one of our own.

Where my journey started.
2010 I began working within the pet industry, offering local dog walking and pet sitting services. As a self employed business owner, I founded ifollowpaws, which naturally evolved over time into a highly sought after home dog boarding service. Building trusted relationships with both pets and their owners laid the foundations for everything that followed.
2018 I founded Puggeroomie®, a unique pet service that enables pugs to become my 'roomies'. Specialising in home boarding for brachycephalic breeds, I worked hard behind the scenes to create a safe, loving, and enriching environment where every dog felt like part of my family. I was proud to be awarded a Five-Star Higher Standards Animal Boarding Licence through Gosport Borough Council, licensed to accommodate up to twelve dogs. For five wonderful years, my own pugs happily shared their beds, toys, treats, and home with many furry friends. Together, we created countless memories and enjoyed what I affectionately called our "Wild Pug Pyjama Parties." Many evenings included themed dress-up sessions, music, videos, and plenty of laughter. Watching the dogs play, cuddle, and enjoy life together brought immense joy, and many of those special moments were shared across social media for owners to enjoy.
2022/23 Puggeroomie® closed while I supported my husband, Steve, through his recovery from major surgery and focused on family life. This period allowed us to heal, recover, and prepare for the next chapter.
2026 Another Puggeroomie® seed was planted. With renewed passion and purpose, my mission remains simple:
To provide dog owners with complete peace of mind, knowing their beloved family pets are safe, loved, and cared for whenever they are apart from them.
2026/27 Marks the exciting relaunch of the much loved Puggeroomie® brand.
Built on years of experience, genuine care, and an unwavering love for animals, Puggeroomie® continues to grow while staying true to its original heart and values. ♡

Health & wellbeing updates ♡
At Puggeroomie® we feel it is a valuable part of our job to update our clients. We communicate our feedback privately through email, our WhatsApp private groups that are set up per dog/individual clients and we can update by telephone/text.
An example of what we provide: Photographs and feedback on how your dog may have spent their day. We let you know how they have slept, how their appetite was at feed times, and we cover all aspects of their health and wellbeing down to their wee wees and poops.
