My goodness! It’s good to be back!
What a lovely mini break we had. I needed to let down my sprouted lockdown locks and spread my toes in the sun!
Returning to Puggeroomie today there has been a few changes that we are excited to share with you all.
The first, we have a new office guru, Edwina. Our lovely Edie will be responsible for all our general enquiries, our advertising and our customer accounts. Enabling me to focus on all adorable squashed faced monsters in our care for their fun 2021 staycations.
We have a new website www.puggeroomie.com
We feel our new web design reflects a new image for Puggeroomie living ‘by the sea’ at glorious Lee On The Solent located in Hampshire.
We have 'The Piccalilli' a beautiful new mustard velvet dog sofa found within our kitchen.
‘The Pantry’ is progressing along very nicely inspired growing up in the 70s with childhood memories living with my Mum, Dad and Sister. Our new trademark is now in place. All produce and labelling has been approved by Trading Standards. We are now testing our packaging ideas. The name is ‘Nighty Night Nom Noms’.
We have new Puggeroomie dog ID Tags, new toys, more much-loved calming cloud beds (they so should make hooman ones) and lots of treats. The puggy pocket money penny jar has also been topped up!
Did you know that when you support a small unique business like Puggeroomie in all the ways you do, you are supporting someone’s dream? My little dream!
Running a small business can be ever so time consuming. Most of the times it can bring much fun and laughter. Far and fewer times it can present challenges and on rare occasions it can bring tears.
Running a business also requires a lot of hard work coupled with lots of dedication and commitment. There are so very many strict routines and procedures behind the scenes that our social media pages do not see. These scheduled routines and procedures ensure that all animals are feeling happy, settled and healthy whilst in our care. There is also attention to detail and focus needed on limited company bookkeeping. Puggeroomie are now under a fabulous accountant.
I do feel extremely fortunate I am the founder of Puggeroomie Limited running a five-star at higher standard Animal Welfare Licence. Over the years I have gained qualifications in business marketing and animal welfare.
I have an incredibly supportive husband Steve that you have named our very own ‘Mr Puggeroomie’, I have my wonderful family and you lovely, lovely lot beside me every day. Thank you. xx
The months of May, June, July, August, September and October are what I call my ‘fluffy months’. We are licenced for ten dogs and at times we will be running at our full capacity.
In my ‘fluffy months’ I am usually found rolling around on the ground, hiding in hedges, singing the wee wees, what’s this or squirrel songs! Squeaking a toy, blowing a whistle, filling my pockets with treats and poop bags. Being covered dribble, smelling of lovely puppy, being boof boofed at, having my legs licked, licked faced, chewed hair, sniffed at, peed on, pooped on, ripped clothes and basically looking unrecognisable in a mirror. Yep! A middle-aged woman called Joe Lee? looking like she has been dragged through a bush backward.
And I SERIOUSLY would not want it any other way!
I love my job and I love my little unique Puggeroomie world.
So, we have two gorgeous ‘roomies’ arriving tomorrow for their weekend staycation. Once they have unpacked their luggage and settled in, I will post up an introduction post. Don’t forget we now try to keep to a maximum of four posts a day on social media of dogs in our care.
Without further ado, it’s time to get this Puggeroomie show back on tour! Yehaw!
