I love being inconspicuous.
Starting up Puggeroomie the first thing I saved my 'pug pennies' for was my very own signed van. Back then in 2018, I wanted Puggeroomie to be visually catching. My dream was to look in keeping with all other pet professionals that I had seen driving around. I remember devoting a lot of my time to creating my very own company logo and various pug designs including the picture of my Rosie at Trevaunance Cove for my van’s new signage. I was ever so excited! At first, I felt rather proud inside driving around in my new Puggeroomie van but not before long it felt like a very bad idea on many levels for being such a unique business! I had parked up in a very beautiful location to start an early morning countryside pawstretch adventure. The winding path lead along The River Hamble. A very tranquil place, beautiful in fact. After enjoying half an hour of walking and taking photographs, I was keen to see where the path lead. I then had noticed three men walking behind me. I was alone with two very expensive KC registered pugs. My thoughts that day raced to all sorts of conclusions while these three men simply walked past me saying Good Morning. I’m laughing, I think it’s fair to say we have all felt a 'silly fearful' before. Last week, we said our fond farewells to ‘Herbert’ our signed Puggeroomie van. With such a rise in crime regarding dog theft I felt that my van advertised Puggeroomie in a negative way. My final thoughts were 'if parked up in various dog walking locations it would advertise where I was and that I wasn’t at home. It also advertised what breed of dogs I would be walking'. On every level in such times, I worried about my own security at home and being away from home. The dogs under my care and all snorts! So, I love being inconspicuous! For those of you that watch 'The Inbetweeners' I am now the proud owner of my very own ‘Minge Mobile’ its even funnier when Mr Puggeroomie drives it. Ha ha ha! So at Puggeroomie we still do offer a chauffeur pet transportation service to collect and deliver your dog(s) to and from Puggeroomie. Please enquire on booking. My new car ‘Betty’ has everything set out by DEFRA to safety transport all dog(s) under our care. It’s a very cosy Betty bean of a car that has bought me a lot of smiles feeling more safe and secure when out and about. |
