In a time of National Lockdown our Boris stole the hearts of thousands following Puggeroomie's social media pages.
Back then, none of us seemed to fear the 'new norm' coupled with the daily information given from our governments stats because we all had our very own fluffy Boris to keep us feeling cheerful every day.
Our Boris shared time with Puggeroomie for many months. We saw sunshine, rainbows, storms and even snow. His previous staycation is the longest to date!
In a time of covid, his devoted Pugmom and Pugdad were unable to return home to the UK. Many of our followers then asked if we were in fact keeping Boris for life. Aw!
We signed for so many Boris deliveries. He was very spoiled with food, treat and toy parcels.
The day he finally checked out of Puggeroomie. I cried so very bad. Like everyone, I had grown to love him ever so much.
I think it's fair to say our Boris became a 'Star of the pug world' overnight.
Today, is a very special day for Puggeroomie.
Our Boris has arrived for his 'Snoozy September Staycation'.
So let us tell you a couple of things.
1)Boris is now a grand thirteen and a half years old.
2)He has lost a little fur in places and is now a little wobbly woo but he is ever so happy and just super cuddly!
Our Boris heard through his pug parents all about Steve aka Mr Puggeroomie and that sadly Puggeroomie deleted all social media presence in such times and closed. He became upset because he knew how passionate Puggeroomie are with offering a exclusive and unique service to all squashed faced monsters.
He then paw pawed his Pugmom not for food this time but for her to book him in with us.
Boris has agreed to help us advertise again! Oh bless him!
So without further ado. Here he is settled into our lounge star shaped on our carpet.
He's sending you all kisses and would love you to heart our post and like our business page.
The perfect antidote to unwind and relax.
Yesterday, we arrived home from our holiday to be reunited with our four beloved pugs.
Our previous holiday plans to jetting off somewhere sunny changed for us both because Steve is still healing from his major ops. We managed to find online a beautiful guest house situated within an idyllic historical fishing village called Beer in Devon.
We both felt the time was right to enjoy our first little holiday away with a change of scenery. The perfect antidote to unwind and relax!
We ventured out everyday and visited Beer, Seaton, Branscombe, Lyme Regis, Plymouth, Paignton, Dartmouth and Weymouth. We travelled on trams and steam trains too! All food consumed my belly is now proudly showing was just amazing!
We both missed our dogs at many moments everyday but we were sent many private videos and photos of their time shared. Which helped ease our worries and concerns.
We also found the Pug & Puffin shop in Lyme Regis and bought our squashed faced monsters many presents.
They are spoiled silly!
While on holiday we heard the very sad news that our Queen had passed away. Steve being an ex Lieutenant Commander in The Royal Navy talked of many cherished memories. I also had a couple I shared.
One memory, I would like to share with you all was The Windsor Tattoo. A fantastic day where I watched Steve in a winning fieldgun team inside the grounds of Windsor Castle. I was standing in an VIP area like many in the crowd I was shouting and cheering. I then noticed our beautiful dainty Queen dressed all in pink admiring the horses and chatting to various people a few meters away. This was the closest I'd been to our late Queen and was super silly excited.
Like many, Steve and I have changed our profile picture to a black background. Our social media tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II 1926 - 2022.
Puggeroomie's office will be open tomorrow. This morning, we are looking forward to the arrival of a absolutely gorgeous 'roomie'. Once he has settled in I'm sure he will want to help us advertise on our page now and then.
Our office is open Monday 12th September. I promise I will respond to my emails first thing.
It's good to be back!
I have added a few of my favourite holiday photos. A gorgeous dog we met, one of Steve at The Windsor Tattoo and my favourite photographs/artwork in memory of
Queen Elizabeth II.
1926 - 2022.
We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. We send our deepest condolences to the Royal Family.
My name is Joe Lee and I am the proud owner and Managing Director of Puggeroomie. Often people will sing Dolly Parton's Jolene song on hearing my name! In response I always laugh like it's the first time!
My business name and idea originated from my love of pugs, all creatures great and small, plus our natural environment.
Puggeroomie® - A pet service that enables your pugs to be our 'roomie' as well as other small breeds of dog.
I know! what a quirky, unique selling point I thought up while floating around in a friends hot tub drinking some celebratory bubbly!
Little did I ever imagine, my business idea would lead me along a fabulous path. Along this path, I have met so many wonderful people and shared such good times while caring for their beloved companions.
I take pleasure in being outdoors. You will often find me on various local adventures following paws. As well as my passion for dog walking, in my spare time I appreciate photography, creative writing and art. I have also had some of my photography published in the local newspapers.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
On becoming a pet professional I have gained much experience and knowledge over many years. I began my career within the pet industry working as a self employed dog walker and pet sitter. Back then, my business name was known as 'ifollowpaws' which naturally over time evolved into Puggeroomie.
Puggeroomie was established on Saint Valentines Day in 2018 and trademarked.
I have a vast knowledge of brachycephalic breeds and consider this to be my specialist area within the pet industry. I also work closely along side animal welfare sectors and various charities.
Prior to your dogs staycation, if you would like to see my certificates and relevant documentation please ask and this can be arranged for you.
I am career driven. I work extremely hard to accomplish a flawless much loved service licensed at five stars higher standard through Gosport Borough Council.
I feel very fortunate residing 'by the sea' in the beautiful costal village, Lee on the Solent in Hampshire.
Our family home is located a stone throw away from the beach and is within close walking distance to Alver Valley Country Park and Stokes Bay. There are so many scenic pawstetch adventures on our very own doorstep! Its a lovely place to live!
I am happily married to my husband Steve also known as 'Mr Puggeroomie'. I am also a happy Pugmom to my three pugs Kobe, Rosie and Captain Poldark plus our Demelza who is a pugalier.
'We love your dogs like our own'
Our Promise to you...
‘In your absence, we will act as your dog(s) guardians for the duration of their time shared at Puggeroomie. We promise to safeguard and protect your dog(s) just as we would our Kobe, Rosie, Captain Poldark and Demelza’.
Together we are Puggeroomie®

I have to say, we did have an AMAZING following of 14.500k on Tik Tok. Looking back, what contagious fun Steve and I had with our pugs in National Lockdown. In reflection, Puggeroomie specialise in offering a five star higher standard home boarding service. I'm laughing, we were never going to be the next TIK TOK stars in the pug world!
I recently found myself bumbling around the most beautiful sunflower field. It's normally in places like this, I enjoy being in my own company to think things over and reflect on my life.
I am ever so proud of everything I have accomplished with my small business called Puggeroomie but being completely honest with you all, the one thing I no longer enjoy as an individual is social media.
I guess, I've always been a little old school.
You see, I love to be outdoors enjoying adventures, following paws, observing nature and wildlife rather than head hunched trying to work out some new device or app.
As you all are aware, many pet professionals frequently storyboard on all social media pages for likes, shares and comments to gain custom. However, I still like to hand my business cards out in person and have found over the years of trading this alone has gained much footfall through our door.
So without further ado, we do have a small announcement regarding a recent operational change. As from 15/08/2022 Our business virtually will appear inactive/deleted on all social media platforms. However, this does not reflect our physical business being OPEN, zooming and very much active!
So how do Puggeroomie update our clients when dogs our under our care?
We are happy to provide up to three wellbeing updates a day for you. We are happy to privately email, text, arrange a suitable time to talk on the phone or we can create a WhatsApp group for you and your chosen recipients. Please let us know your preferred communication method preference prior to your arrival!
At Puggeroomie we truly believe
'More offline is the new peace of mind!'
Happy 6th Birthday to our one and only Captain Ross Poldark. Love you so much my dark handsome water baby!
Puggeroomie is a luxurious and exclusive 'Bed and Biscuit' by the sea.
Awarded an animal welfare home boarding licence at five stars higher standard.
Specialising in pure indulgent staycations, delivering the highest level of pet pampering.
From the moment your beloved companion arrives at Puggeroomie you can feel rest assured they are in safe hands.
Our 'roomies' become part of our warm loving family within our home. Animal welfare is the absolute heart of Puggeroomie.
We love your dogs, like our own!
Did you know?!
When the summer heat is on, artificial grass will heat up more than natural grass and maintain a higher temperature!
Thank goodness! Puggeroomie have lots of natural grass to cool your bits on. As demonstrated by our handsome 'roomie'.
The temperature of artifical grass can rise so very quickly when exposed to direct sunlight and not have the natural cooling effect from a real grass lawn.
We have had such a lovely day caring for 7 adorable pugs.
All pugs have managed to keep cool. We have been frequently changing all water bowls. All oscillating fans have been on max. Our blinds are closed, curtains are drawn. Paddling pools are in the shade.
At Puggeroomie we are too cool for the pool.
