And here she is. Our first adorable 'roomie' since we've reopened.
Rosie our apricot pug is very attracted to dandelions. She likes to pull up the occasional one out of the ground to munch on our pawstretch adventures.
I like the idea that dandelions open up to greet us in the morning and close tight to go to bed in the evening. Cute hey!
Did you know that the dandelion flower also represents the sun, moon and stars. You do now!
So the yellow flower resembles the sun, the puff ball resembles the moon and the dispersing seeds resemble the stars!
I've recently been reading up about this flower. It is amazing!
Did you know every part of the dandelion is useful in our every day life. The root, leaves and flower can be used for food, drinks, medicine and dye for coloring.
Many moons ago people would pull grass out of their lawns to make room for dandelions and other useful weeds like chickweed, malva, and chamomile.
The name dandelion is taken from the French word 'dent de lion' meaning lion’s tooth, referring to the tooth shaped leaves.
Dandelions have one of the longest flowering seasons of any plant.
A fact I find incredible is we all know that dandelion seeds are transported by the wind. They travel like tiny parachutes. These little parachute seeds are often carried as many as five miles from their origin.
Animals such as birds, insects and butterflies consume nectar or seed of dandelion. Rosie likes munching them too!
Dandelion flowers do not need to be pollinated to form seed. They sure have sunk their roots deep into history. Ancient Egyptians, Greeks, Romans all knew about dandelions flower power. It has also been used in Chinese traditional medicine and folk medicine!
Well how interesting!
The Puggeroomie Tree.
In 2018, a wonderful seed was planted. Over time roots began to grow with trust, love and support. There was a harmonious balance, a foundation. Puggeroomie was then founded.
Within our first year the blossom displayed was so pretty. People came from afar with admiration. The second and third years, there was a unforgettable array of colours. Our tree stood tall and displayed a likeness to my strong passion and dedication within my work.
In 2022 our tree suffered an unforgettable storm. A storm that shook our branches. Our tree for the first time exposed rotten broken roots consisting of unreliability, mistrust not to mention a few tears.
We all know that trust takes years to build and seconds to break.
We offered our sincere apologies to all that were affected in a time Steve was admitted to hospital. We are now in a slow process of reopening our business.
Our starting point is that trust starts with the truth and ends with truth.
We understand people were let down by a willy nillyness of opening and closing in such scary times. In truth, I feared losing Steve. My bookkeeping/paperwork was taken care of for me this included all previous notes of bookings. All was shredded folowing our ICO GDRP rules. We then deleted our page.
For us today, has been a special day. We have planted another seed. We both understand there is an uneasy reputation cause by my actions. So, I'm adding a little miracle grow and glitter.
Over time another puggeroomie tree sure will sprout again but only from our earned trust, love and support.
I remind myself that Ginger Rogers did everything Fred Astaire did but backwards and in high heels!
Okay, I'm no Ginger Rogers but I own comfy crocs and am armed most days with stinky dried sprats in my pockets backing out of many bushes!
It's been a beautiful day to plant our new seed and I feel its is now the right time to chase my dreams!
My name is Joe Lee and I am the proud owner and Managing Director of Puggeroomie Limited.
My business idea originated from my love of pugs, all creatures great and small, plus our natural environment.
I take pleasure in being outdoors. You will often find me on many local adventures following paws. As well as my passion for dog walking, in my spare time I also appreciate photography, creative writing, history and art.
I am happily married to my husband Steve also known as 'Mr Puggeroomie' and I am a happy Pugmom to my three pugs Kobe, Rosie and Captain Poldark plus our Demelza who is a pugalier.
On becoming a pet professional I have gained much experience and knowledge over the years. I began my career within the pet industry working as a self employed dog walker and pet sitter. Back then, my business name was known as 'ifollowpaws' which naturally over time evolved into 'Puggeroomie'. Established on Saint Valentines Day in 2018.
Prior to your dogs staycation, if you would like to see my certificates and relevant documentation please ask and this can be arranged for you.
Together we are Puggeroomie.
